According to the Ghana GHANA decree, from March 1, 2018, all goods shipped to Tema, Accra, Kumasi, Takladi, and Tamale in Ghana must apply for a CTN (Cargo Tracking Notes) number from ZKTEST. Failure to apply for this cargo tracking note will be deemed to violate Ghana's regulations and will be severely punished at the port of destination.

In simple terms, Ghana CTN is like an electronic cargo tracking number that must be applied for from the local government for goods exported from China to West African countries. It must be displayed on the bill of lading. If there is no Ghana CTN, a fine will be imposed. These countries, including Tema, Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi in Ghana, must apply for Ghana CTN.

Business process for applying for Ghana CTN:

1. The exporter provides an application form, customs declaration, shipping invoice, original and copy of bill of lading

2. After receiving the above materials, the agent lists the quotation and the exporter pays

3. Make a draft first, and after the certificate is confirmed, a valid CTN will be generated

Ghana not only needs to apply for CTN but also COC certificate. To apply for Ghana COC, you need to provide two pictures, an application form, a CNAS certificate issued by a third-party laboratory, a copy of the exporter's company business license, and a pro forma invoice. The invoice also needs to show the FOB amount, IDF and packing list. The Ghana COC certificate fee is quoted according to the amount of the goods. The COC certificate will be issued after the inspection is correct.

Ghana COC certification process:

1. Provide an application form

2. Send samples to the laboratory, and issue a PC certificate after passing the test. Ordinary goods can provide product photos

3. Make an appointment for the time and place of the appointment and the inspection

4. After passing the test, provide a packing list and pro forma invoice and wait for two working days to issue the Ghana COC certificate
