The Saudi SABER certification process is mainly divided into two processes:
The first process:
According to the applicable standards in the corresponding product technical regulations, the Saber platform will issue a product conformity certificate (PC certificate) for each regulated product before export.
1. Importers can register Saber system accounts (or provide the latest importer's business license, which can be registered on their behalf)
2. Importers input PC certificate application information into the Saber system for PC registration application
3. Importer selects a certification authority in the Saber system
(INTERTEK, NEMKO, CQC, TUV, SGS)
4. Payment of PC certificate fees
5. Upon receiving the application, contact the exporter to provide certification documents
6. Submit the approved documents to the Saber system
7. Issue PC certificate with a validity period of 1 year
Second process: Shipment CoC certificate, also known as SC certificate (inspection certificate)
Every regulated product sent to Saudi Arabia will be evaluated to ensure a genuine and effective PCoC, and an SCoC will be issued.
1. The institution submits a Shipment CoC application to the Saber system;
2. Confirm the validity of the PC certificate;
3. Pay the Shipment CoC certification fee;
4. Issue a Shipment CoC certificate, which is only applicable to the imported goods of that batch
